Turning recycled copper into high-quality electrical wire, to secure a sovereign, sustainable copper supply for the west.

We're enabling electrical-grade wire production from 100% secondary copper scrap. Our breakthrough mechanical process, boosted by a closed-loop AI system, adapts to impurities in the source feedstock and enhances conductivity of low-purity copper. The solution eliminates the need for smelting, thereby reducing GHGs and cutting costs from the supply chain and tackling the looming 6.5Mt copper gap by 2035.

We're securing Western copper supply by producing electrical-grade wire from 100% scrap using a breakthrough process that boosts conductivity and taps into 150Mt of underused copper scrap.

Problem

The world faces a growing copper shortage, with supply set to fall short by 6.5 Mt by 2035. Europe is especially vulnerable, already facing a 1.35 Mt smelting deficit and relying heavily on imports from Asian-controlled refining operations. Copper demand is projected to rise 70% by 2050, driven by clean technologies, which will account for half of 2030 demand. This gap threatens Europe’s economy—costing ~$13.5B annually—and its energy transition. With mining too slow and costly, recycled copper is the only scalable solution for Europe to secure a robust copper supply.

Solution

We are developing a wire-forming technology that enables the production of high-conductivity winding wires from lower-purity copper, unlocking vast secondary copper feedstock. By shifting away from the industry’s dependence on 99.95% purity copper, our innovation enhances conductivity through microstructural engineering, allowing the use of 99.5% purity copper while still achieving 99% IACS conductivity.

By lowering the minimum required purity, our solution unlocks over 150 Mt of landfill scrap globally; reduces costs; and, by eliminating smelting, enables more resilient Western supply chains.

Targeting the $30bn winding wire market with this breakthrough conductivity-enhancing technology, we will supply 100% recycled copper electrical winding wires to EV motor manufacturers, wind turbine manufacturers, and electrical component manufacturers.
